Tax

If your business is registered for Sales and Service Tax (SST), Gerai Digital can add it to your orders, show it on invoices, and total it for your returns. If you're not registered, leave SST off.

Go to Settings › Configuration › Tax (SST). Only members with the Manage payments permission can change these settings.

  1. Turn on Charge SST.
  2. Under Registered for, choose Service tax, Sales tax or Both.
  3. Enter your SST registration number and the date you're Registered from.
  4. Optionally pick a Default SST type for products. Products that don't choose their own type use this one.
  5. Choose Save.

From then on, new orders include SST on products that have an SST type. Orders placed before don't change.

Prices with or without SST

Each store chooses how its prices work, on the store's Checkout page:

  • Prices include SST: the price you set is what shoppers pay. Invoices show the SST inside it.
  • SST is added at checkout: SST is added on top of your prices. Shoppers always see the full total before paying.

SST report

Go to Orders › SST report and pick a date range. It shows:

  • a Summary per SST type and rate, with values excluding and including SST;
  • every invoice and credit note in the period, for each order and buyer.
