Domain
Every store gets a free address, yourstore.gerai.digital, chosen when you create it. On the Sapling and Tree plans you can also connect your own domain, such as shop.yourbrand.com.
Open the store and go to Domain management. The list shows each domain, its Type (Default or Custom) and Status.
Connect your own domain
- Choose Add domain, enter your domain and choose Add domain.
- At the company where you bought your domain, create a CNAME record that points your domain to your store's gerai.digital address, for example
yourstore.gerai.digital. - Back in Domain management, choose Check DNS.
DNS changes can take from a few minutes to a few hours to work. Once your record is found, we set up HTTPS (the padlock) for you, and the domain connects on its own within a few minutes.
A root domain such as yourbrand.com, without www or shop in front, can't use a CNAME at most DNS providers. Use an ALIAS or ANAME record if your provider supports one, or use a subdomain such as www.yourbrand.com or shop.yourbrand.com.
Domain status

| Waiting for DNS | We can't see your CNAME record yet. Check it, wait a little, then Check DNS again. |
| DNS mismatch | Your domain points somewhere else. Point it to your store's gerai.digital address. |
| Setting up HTTPS | Your record is right. HTTPS is being set up, which takes a few minutes. |
| Connected | Shoppers can visit your store at this domain. |
Remove a domain
Remove domain stops that address reaching your store. Your gerai.digital address always keeps working.
